The hotel is old but has been updated, though some of the floors creak. We had comfortable rooms and a lovely restaurant looking out over the sea. Breakfast was included, great, and had lots of hot choices. We were able to upgrade to a view of the great Orme. I thought the high tea I bought was alright, but I've had better. The location is amazing, with views of the beach and pier, and walking distance to the beach, pier, Orme, town, and train. Beautiful place to visit.

The sea, pier, promenade and Orme views from the restaurant and lounge were lovely, and service there was first rate. The hotel was quiet, nicely furnished, and the staff were cheerful and welcoming. Our room was spotless and spacious, with a big comfortable bed, and the full English breakfast was tasty and included in the very reasonable price. We only stayed one night and I already wish it had been longer. I’ll definitely return. No complaints at all.

The location made it easy to enjoy the flat walk along the promenade, with shops, bars and restaurants just behind the hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooftop room came with a parking space assigned on arrival. There’s also a small car park. We had a lovely four-night break and plan to come again. We booked a spacious rooftop king room with an amazing view and our own balcony. The bathroom was outstanding, with twin sinks, a toilet, a large walk-in shower and a deep bath. Because of mobility issues, we always used the shower. The bed was comfortable, and tea, coffee and biscuits were replenished daily. I prefer the Temple Spa toiletries in wall containers to the small Elemis bottles they used to provide. The settee had a tear where the frame had come through, though it was still usable. Breakfast offered lots of choice, but the hot food, served at the buffet counter, was only warm. We helped ourselves to everything else. In the early evening, Linda came to turn back the bedding and get the room ready for the night. She’s a caring, outstanding member of staff and deserves a lot of credit. Thank you, Linda. We missed you on your day off. 🥰 Keep an eye out for goats on the Great Orme, or even in town. Mike and Cheryl, Room 421

The only downside was getting a seagull’s blessing just as I sat down with my book on the first afternoon. Otherwise, the spacious, modern rooftop room had a lovely balcony where we enjoyed a sunny weekend, and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel met and even exceeded my expectations.

We loved the location, right by the beach, shops and promenade. It was our first visit to Llandudno, and we’ll definitely return. The staff and hotel were amazing, and the three-night Christmas break was almost perfect. Breakfast and the dinners on the other nights had tremendous service and choice. The letdown was Christmas lunch: it was bland and not an exciting festive meal, and service was very, very slow. The crackers didn’t bang, so what was the point of having them on the table? Our package began with afternoon tea, which was disappointing after a four-and-a-half-hour drive. The tea and coffee came from flasks, and there were cakes but no sandwiches or savoury food. Those were the only two downsides of the whole stay. I’d come again, though I think Christmas Day needs a few tweaks.
