The area felt really friendly, as Wales often does, and there were cows in the nearby barns. The old house is lovely for a group, with gorgeous grounds, nice lawns, plenty of rooms to look around and everything we needed. I’d go back. I don’t think it would work for wheelchair access, though.

We found the house easily with Google Maps, and my photos might help with spotting the entrance, though they really don't show the place at its best. We hired it for a big family gathering and had a lovely time. The surrounding area is great for walks, or you can just take in the views from the hot tub. There's a garage shop at the far end of the long road, a decent walk away or not too far by car. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, and there are bigger ones that suit families well.

Coming in from the cold to a warm log fire was hard to beat. The accommodation at this wonderful Hall is lovely, and the facilities are great. Martyn and his family were happy to help with anything. The surrounding area is beautiful too, with really good views. This was our second visit.

I haven't had the chance to stay at this beautiful place yet, but seeing the Proprietor on Four in a bed made me feel I’d be happy to. Mark came across as a lovely, down to earth and very humble man. I have no doubt he deserved to win that competition.

We had a lovely stay last week for a 50th and really liked the house and huge garden, which was great for family games. If you're over 5ft 10, watch your head around the low door frames. I found that out more than once.
