The Cothi Bridge Apartments

We had a lovely little visit today. The staff were so friendly, and we sat outside enjoying the river view beneath the bridge. I was pleasantly surprised by what the pub had for the whole family, from Slush puppy machines to cake on the bar. A proper family place. We’ll come back.

The apartment has two bedrooms, a kitchen diner and a bathroom, with views over farmland and the river. It was a very clean, tidy and welcoming space. The kitchen has just enough cooking equipment, though the fridge door would be awkward to use and should open the other way. We found the beds too soft, and the plastic mattress protectors made us sweaty and were noisy whenever we moved. It would be five stars without those little niggles.

We stayed at Cothi Bridge Apartment twice this year and enjoyed both visits. It’s bigger than most apartments, has everything you could need, a lovely view over the river, and great parking. The waste setup could be better: there’s only a black bin in the kitchen, with no recycling options.

I liked the clear river right beside the place. It’s only about 2-3 feet deep at most. This is a good choice if you want a really relaxing break, since it’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere, though there are two nice pubs next to it.
