We were left stranded outside the Baltic Inn after booking and paying in advance through Booking.com. We had planned to rest before driving to Cardiff the next day, but there was nobody at the property, no check-in instructions, and no one answered us. Booking.com got in touch and asked us to wait half an hour. We did, but nobody came, and we spent more than an hour there late in the day with no help before scrambling to find somewhere else at the last minute. It was stressful and completely unprofessional. If reliability or basic hospitality matters to you, avoid this place. I wouldn't give it a star. I've never reviewed a place on Google before, which shows you how bad this was.

The room was filthy, with broken fittings and a burnt-out kettle, and even after showering I still felt dirty. Cleanliness here is close to being a health hazard. I also wonder whether having guests in a hotel with no staff on site meets fire regulations. Surely someone needs to coordinate an evacuation and roll call? Management, if there is any, needs to get a grip. This place might be decent if someone put in some effort. Otherwise, it's sadly another establishment that's failed.

I stayed by myself for one night and had a nice, spacious room with a really comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice too, and there was a cupboard with a fan if I needed one. The walls seemed a little thin. I could hear children running along the corridors late at night and early in the morning, though I don't blame the hotel for that.

We ate in the bar, and even though the menu is small, they do the dishes they offer very well. Breakfast was good too. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We had a great stay at The Baltic Inn and can't fault the place.

We got good value by booking at the last minute, and the location worked well for what we needed. We stayed out of season in the spacious bridal room. The owner was lovely, and the food was okay. There was a problem with the heating, but after I told the owner, it was sorted with a little pressure check. The bar area was cosy.
