The staff are what will bring us back. They were genuine, attentive, and kept making the stay feel special. The Diplomat Hotel made us feel like VIPs from the moment we walked in. Our double room was spacious and perfectly heated, and the bed was so comfortable it deserves its own review. I'm usually a restless sleeper when I'm away from home, but I had the best night's sleep I've had in years. The amenities were great too. I can't recommend the Diplomat highly enough, and we'll definitely be back.

The hotel is nicely equipped, with pleasant decor and good function rooms. Breakfast was very nice, and the service was good. I'd have rated it five stars, but the WiFi was more or less nonexistent. The 5G signal was good, though, so I could get online that way.

Our Christmas Eve started with a welcoming atmosphere and a wonderful lunch, just like the song 'It's the most wonderful time of the year'. Thanks to everyone working that day, including those behind the scenes. It was excellent teamwork. As I was leaving, I chatted with Marianna, who casually mentioned how much she enjoys working for this family-owned hotel. What a lovely compliment to the Jenkins family. Best wishes for 2026.

I brought my grandmother for afternoon tea, and we had such a treat. The scones were the nicest I've ever had, and everything else was fresh and tasty. The room was lovely and clean, and the staff were friendly. Elizabeth was especially kind and professional, and offered to show us around the hotel and spa facilities. My grandmother really enjoyed that. There was plenty of parking too. We'd certainly come back with more friends and family. Thank you!

I was here for one night on a work trip. The hotel was very clean, in a great location, and the rooms were much better than most big chain hotels. The reception staff and the people behind the bar were particularly lovely and made me feel welcome. A lovely place to stay. I'll return if I'm in the area again. 😊😊😊😊
