Coed Cae

Jacky was friendly and helpful, and made a delicious breakfast each morning. She also knows the local area well and was happy to suggest places to eat and visit. The B&B is homely and well placed for Coed Y Brenin and other walking and cycling routes. Our room and bed were clean and comfortable. The bed was a little short for me at 6'1, though that's not unusual, and I still slept well. We'll try to stay here first next time we're nearby.

The views were stunning, and the owners were happy to help with anything. It's a quirky little place with clean, well-kept rooms and fresh breakfast cooked just right. Walkers and anyone who loves nature will appreciate that the estuary is only a short walk away.

Greg's mum's jam and marmalade were lovely, and the bacon at breakfast was phenomenal. We also had dinner, including a pasta bake with local Welsh cheese and pudding with a special liqueur and whisky ice cream. I'd definitely come back next year.

The owners struck a nice balance, making sure we had what we needed without hovering. It's a spacious house with a comfortable lounge, and the rooms are roomy too. We stayed for just one night and wished we could have stayed longer. A near-perfect B&B.
