Red House Farm

We'd been here once before, the season before covid, and liked it enough to jump at a return when we found dates that were available and affordable during the school holidays. It was just as well kept and presented, with the same stunning view, and we had another relaxing week. The owner was around when needed and came over that evening to sort out the heating when it went off. We also saw the hot tub being checked at least once during the week. There are plenty of nice walks nearby. We used OS maps to find family walks, and I enjoyed running on trails in town. In town, the children also enjoyed the steam railway, model car museum, trails and lovely, well cared for park, all within walking distance of the house. The weather was changeable, but the TV in the front room and our firestick, which worked fine with the wifi, kept us entertained indoors. The children found a games console in the large hallway for stormy days. The garden is lovely and spacious, with a seating area and room to play. The hot tub has amazing views, though the storms meant we used it less this time because we didn't want to risk the lid flying off. We didn't bring our dog, but it's a dog friendly place and so clean and cared for that you'd never know. I've stayed places where you can smell dogs or see claw marks and hair, but not here. We'll be back again when we can. Thanks!
