Thank you, Ruth, for making our first anniversary at your guest house one to remember. We’d definitely come back, even just for her food. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the three-course homemade meal at a very reasonable price, especially if you’re lucky enough to arrive when she’s made her homemade lemon cheesecake. Ruth is a wonderful hostess, and this peaceful B&B in the hills is a lovely place. It’s not far from the A55 at junction 14 and makes a perfect base for exploring North Wales. We booked three nights and this has been one of the best places we’ve stayed so far. The owners were so lovely and welcoming, and made us feel at home. You can reach waterfalls, seaside walks, castles and plenty more with a short drive. The location is perfect, with mountain views on one side and the sea on the other. Breakfast and dinner were great, and I’d recommend trying all their homemade cakes if you stay. The rooms were clean, the bed really comfortable, and the bathroom was to a high standard. So much thought has gone into the little details. Absolutely amazing place!

Being up the valley is so peaceful, while essential amenities and lots of places to explore are still nearby in every direction. The views are better than anywhere else, and the place has everything you could need. Ruth is a fabulous hostess and the food is amazing. Honestly, one of the most wonderful places to visit. If you’re reading reviews to decide whether to come, please book. You won’t be disappointed!

The peace and quiet here is hard to imagine, and the view from the breakfast table is first rate. Rhiwiau is so far off the beaten track that getting there takes some effort, but it’s well worth it. Breakfast is great, even with dietary restrictions to consider. The bedroom and other facilities are fine, and when the weather is good you can enjoy the views from seats outside. If it isn’t, there’s the lounge. Evening meals are available too, if arranged in advance, and they’re very nice. The staff couldn’t be better. This isn’t a budget stay, and anyone after city life is looking in the wrong place. But for a quiet, relaxing break, it’s hard to beat. My wife and I will certainly come back sometime.
