The Grove

The room was spotless and comfortable, and Raquel and Chris made us feel very welcome throughout a great weekend. Their knowledge of the area was first class, and we really appreciated their suggestions for local visits. Fully recommend it. Steve & Tina from NZ.

Parking right beside the building was handy, and getting to the A55 was easy. Even so, the place wasn't noisy since it's set back from the road. Raquel welcomed me warmly and had even printed maps for the places I'd mentioned going. My room was lovely, clean and comfortable, with enough towels and toiletries, plus snacks and tea and coffee. It stayed warm indoors despite the cold outside, and the curtains kept the light out.

Mair booked us a dinner time as soon as we arrived, which was helpful on a busy Bank Holiday weekend. We felt like part of the family from the moment we met her and Gerry. The place was very comfortable, and breakfast is amazing. Welsh tea is the best, a good strong cup without that tannin taste. I'm going to take some home with me. Already looking forward to breakfast tomorrow 😁. If we needed anything, they'd do their best to arrange it, though I can't think of anything more to ask for.

Raquel always makes me feel welcome, and nothing seems too much trouble. I've stayed at The Grove a few times, and every visit has been amazing. The house and rooms are beautiful, and it's in an amazing location.
