Ty Newydd Bed and Breakfast

The family room worked well for our family of four, with two adults, two teenage children and our small dog. It had one double bed and two singles, all very comfortable, plus a massive bathroom with a bath and shower, plenty of hot water and shower gels. Breakfast was on another level: tasty, locally sourced bacon, sausage, beans, mushrooms, egg and toast, with tea and coffee whenever we wanted and cereals for anyone who didn’t fancy a full English. The B&B was clean, comfortable and welcoming, and we were made to feel at home. We’ll definitely stay again. A lovely part of the world, too. Five stars!

I only had three days away, but could happily have stayed the whole week. The owners were great hosts and checked now and then that everything was all right. I felt comfortable and very welcome, with a comfy bed, good shower facilities and a great breakfast. The B&B was a good base for my motorcycle trip around the Brecon Beacons, with the Top Gear featured A4069 road just a few miles away. There’s also a nicely kept field behind for caravans and camping. I’ll definitely stay again.

Derek and Lesley looked after us so well, and we feel we’ve made two lovely friends. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The en-suite shower deserves top marks, and the full English breakfast was tasty, with locally sourced bacon, sausage and egg, along with all the other ingredients. We spent last night at this lovely, friendly B&B and can’t wait to return.

I stayed at Ty Newydd for two nights for work and got a lovely warm welcome from Lesley and Derek. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, and the food fresh and lovely. I’ll certainly use Ty Newydd again when I’m in the area. Definitely five stars.
