We found it good value, with really nice, attentive staff and a very good buffet breakfast. Our room was huge and comfortable enough, though the decor was a little dated. We could see the river from the room, and it sounded fabulous at night. We were on the first floor, so the lack of a lift wasn't an issue for us, though some rooms are quite a walk away. Parking costs £8, which I don't think the website mentions. All in all, it's a good place run by good people.

The staff were amazing and did their best to sort out our problems. We tried three rooms: the first had no heating, the second had a broken TV, no hot water at the bathroom basin and no Wi-Fi. We settled for the third, although it was small and also had no Wi-Fi. The hotel is in a fantastic spot, and hopefully the new owners will update things.

Our room was comfortable and quiet, and everything worked, though it showed its age a little. The price was reasonable, with friendly staff, a great breakfast and a great location with free parking. We'd definitely stay again. Recommended!

We spent two nights here last week and would happily come back. The room was lovely, spacious, warm and comfortable, and the big bathroom had lots of towels and very hot water. I loved having a bath, and there was a real fire in reception. The staff were lovely too, and it's right in the middle of town.

The location is great, right on the river and close to bars and restaurants, and the hotel has parking, which can be hard to find in this small town. The food was good and popular with locals, the staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Llangollen is beautiful, and I enjoyed my one-night stay, but I wouldn't book this hotel again. The room was clean and tidy, though it needs updating. The hot tap at the bathroom sink didn't work, the shower was awful, barely more than a trickle, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. There's no lift either, so the many stairs could be a problem if you're put on the top floor.
