We only stayed one night and wished we'd booked more. The staff were delightful and took great care of us, with nothing too much trouble. They all seemed to enjoy working there. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with thoughtful extras: a well-stocked fridge, filter coffee, a teapot, bathrobes, slippers and toothbrushes in case we'd forgotten ours. We enjoyed the delicious food and comfortable lounges. The bar also serves as the village pub, so locals come in, which we particularly liked. We'd definitely stay again.

A lovely place for an anniversary, with a beautiful setting and a stunning room. The food and service were both wonderful. So many people come back, and I can see why. I’d happily recommend it and would love to return.

The rooms were spacious, spotless and thoughtfully equipped, and the food was fantastic. Service was impeccable, too. It’s been a long time since I stayed somewhere this good, especially at such good value. Huge congratulations to everyone whose hard work has made this such a great place. Easy to recommend.

I’m still here and already don’t want to leave. It’s so peaceful, a real escape from the noise of everyday life, and I’d love to come back for a longer stay. The mountain and garden views from our room were stunning, and the grounds are lovely. After some disappointing places on my Back-Roads Touring group trip, this tucked-away hotel has been a real find. Anyone visiting on a UK tour should find it a highlight for comfort and location. Alan gave us a genuinely warm welcome, and the staff are friendly. Everything is spotless and efficiently run, with the charm of an older place alongside modern comforts. Our room was huge, with a spacious renovated bathroom and an incredibly comfortable king bed. There’s a reasonably priced laundry service, too. The little details were much appreciated: bathrobes, Slippers, water, plenty of coffee and treats in the room. The home-cooked meals were wonderful. I’m plant based, and they made a real effort to provide me with good vegan options. I wish more hoteliers offered this level of hospitality and accommodation. I highly recommend it.

We stayed last night and were so impressed with how friendly and approachable everyone was. They went above and beyond, and there were lots of thoughtful touches. It’s genuinely pet friendly, with dog bowls, towels and treats waiting in the room. Breakfast was excellent, too. I almost don’t want to say how much I liked the Mulberry Inn, in case everyone rushes to book, but we’ll 100% be back. Can’t praise it enough x
