The Old Vicarage

Mike even gave us a lift to hafren forest and to the nearest railway station for our journey home. We’d have struggled to finish the Wye valley walk without his help. Diane made a great brekky, and our hosts were brilliant throughout. They also greeted us with coffee and cake when we arrived for our two-night stay. A big thank you. Would highly recommend.

We arrived later than planned, but Mike and Diane kindly rang the local pub to get us a table so we wouldn't miss food orders. Diane also packed lunch for our day cycling the trans Cambrian way. Our room was beautiful, there was a secure spot for our bikes, and breakfast both mornings was delicious. Mike and Diane were so welcoming and kind. Bed and breakfast at its finest.

After a long day's walk, this was a blissful place to rest. Mike welcomed me into the lounge with a cup of tea and a much-needed slice of cake, then showed me to a comfortable, well-supplied room. I slept wonderfully, and Diane prepared a hearty packed lunch for my next day's hike to Rhayader. Mike and Diane made me and my dogs feel so welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. Their beautiful little hidden gem sits down a side street in Llancurig. For a peaceful night's sleep, I'd highly recommend it. Thanks to you both. 👍🙏🥾🐕

We had an early start for our cycle, and Michael and Diane kindly arranged breakfast at the time we needed. It was fantastic, both in quality and execution, and they packed a lunch for us to take along too. On arrival, we found a secure place for our bikes with a pump, and were offered tea or coffee and cake. Michael and Diane were incredibly welcoming and kind, and we enjoyed chatting with them. They showed us to our clean, warm, quiet room, which had lots of nice touches, and recommended places to eat in the village. All round, the best B&B I've stayed in.
