The New Inn Hotel

The owner, I think, was a really friendly guy, and we had a very pleasant stop. My missus has a broken femur and hip, so we sat in the front conservatory, which was wheelchair accessible. You can’t get into the pub itself, though these are old buildings and weren’t designed for wheelchairs. We came through for a cooked breakfast, and it was one of the most delicious I’ve had in ages, really well made. We’ll definitely use it again on our next visit. If you’re not from Wales, watch for the little Diddy speed camera just past the pub on the way home. It looks like a bird box, so keep to 20mph. Very nice place and highly recommended.

There’s no cafe, though. I and plenty of others see the sign and stop, which is lucky since there’s nowhere at all further along. They serve tea, coffee, cake and beer. It was an unexpected stop for us, and we got a warm welcome and a grand cup of tea. I’d like to call in again. The cafe sign is a marketing ploy.

We got full plates of really delicious breakfast at very reasonable prices. The host was friendly and accommodating, and my friend and I will definitely pop by again.

It’s a pretty nice place to stop, and there’s a popular waterfall nearby, though we heard it’s overcrowded with tourists and didn’t go. We’d spotted the “Cafe” sign while mid journey and pulled in, but the car park felt too small and it wasn’t clear where the cafe was or what it was. The pub was almost empty when we went in. We ordered coffees and cakes, which were nice enough, and picked a bright table by the entrance.
