Wendy House

Such a lovely place, and the owner was really friendly. Highly recommended!

The station is about five minutes around the corner, and Nelson Café is just three minutes away. We stayed for four days and all of us, including my family, felt wonderfully comfortable at Wendy House. It's a small, lovely house in a quiet but central spot, furnished with lots of attention to detail. It was very clean and had what we needed. Downstairs, the kitchen had new dishes and cutlery, plus milk and laundry and dishwashing supplies. Near the entrance there's a sofa for two or three with a TV, and it feels really cosy. The dining room sits between the kitchen and sofa, seats four, and has plenty of room. I wouldn't change the arrangement. Upstairs there's a landing, a bedroom, a children's room and a bathroom. We all slept very well. The main bedroom is bright, with a window and enough room for two adults and a dresser. The children's room has two 140cm single beds, a wardrobe, a dresser and windows. The bathroom is small but works fine, with a shower/bathtub, skylights and cabinets. We'll be back, and I can highly recommend the value for money.
