Julie was a fantastic host. My brother-in-law and I had booked somewhere down the road, but when we arrived the Ben view hotel had closed. My wife found Julie's b&b online and called her. She quickly got two rooms ready for us in her lovely home. It was around 6:30pm, and when I asked where we could eat nearby, Julie called around and found us a place down the road. She even drove us there. Easily one of the best places I've stayed. I'll definitely go back sometime.

The hosts were warm, welcoming and relaxed, and went out of their way to help. The breakfasts were generous, delicious and home cooked. Everything you could need was there, and the bed and sofa were cosy and comfortable. The accommodation was fresh, beautifully decorated and very clean. Highly recommended.

We came back for a longer stay in September 2024 and were looked after so well again. It's such a great place, with fantastic hosts. On our first visit we had the largest room, which was beautifully decorated and well equipped, with an ante room like a mini kitchen and a big en suite. Julie leaves homemade cakes and fruit on the landing. Breakfast was great, and Julie couldn't have been more helpful. Very well recommended.

We had a lovely three night stay recently. Julie and Nigel were helpful hosts and gave us good ideas for places to visit. The room was beautifully decorated, and Julie had thought of everything we might need. Breakfast was excellent too.

It felt very homely, and the bedroom was large. Breakfast was more than enough. Nigel joked, “One sausage for Rainer, three for Sandra,” which made us laugh. Julie and Nigel's tips for exploring the roundabout were spot on and nothing like what you'd find in a guidebook. We'll stay here again when we're back in Scotland. Highly recommended!
