Wide Mouthed Frog

The staff were friendly and nice, but the restaurant wasn't very clean. Our food took ages to arrive and the crab butter wasn't good. There were two flies in my cocktail, though they made me a replacement.

The restaurant was pleasant, the food was good, and the staff were lovely. Our room was spacious, nice and very clean. The shower drained so slowly I had to turn it off partway through to let the water clear. Also, Airbnb said there would be WiFi, but there wasn't any, which is frustrating when there's a smart TV.

I called earlier and nobody mentioned that a group of 20 was coming in. I arrived at 19:15 hoping to order ordinary fish and chips, but was refused because of that group, even though they weren't seated or ordering yet and plenty of tables were free. The last order time was supposedly 20:15, so the explanation that the chef couldn't get home otherwise didn't make sense to me. Since this is at the Marina, the only other option is to go to Oban. Don't rely on these people. A very sad bunch. Never again.

We were six sailors waiting to collect our boat, and lunch was a big disappointment. The macaroni cheese was shockingly bad, the lasagne was very poor, and the fish and chips were only passable. Service felt generally uninterested, and the room had hardly any decoration. It's a great location, but we're not coming back. JE
