Inver Lodge Hotel

The restaurant serves interesting, delicious dishes, and the staff are highly professional and attentive. The accommodation has the comforts and modern conveniences you appreciate while travelling. It’s quiet and secluded outside the village.

We only came for dinner and didn’t stay overnight, but the evening was made special by the lovely staff. The lady who greeted us was wonderful and chatty, and incredibly well spoken. I wish I’d got her name. The food was 10/10, with venison for me, pheasant for my husband, and delicious crème brûlée. Honestly couldn’t fault a thing. I really recommend it.

The first night, one of our three rooms had bed bugs that were biting us. In the middle of the night we had to move into another of our rooms because no staff were awake to help, leaving four adults squeezed into two double beds. There was no refund for that night and no apology. The front desk guy only offered to move rooms the next day, with nothing else to resolve it. We were itching throughout the stay. The whole hotel smells stale and old, and everything is outdated and dusty. Some staff are nice, but this was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in, even compared with 2 star hotels. Never stay here. It isn’t even a 1 star hotel.

We had an amazing stay, with a very good breakfast and rooms prepared to the highest standards. The staff were super welcoming and polite, and the location has amazing views. Probably the best hotel we stayed in while in Highlands. Superb experience!
