Brenda was fantastic while my wife and I got ready for our wedding. The grounds are amazing, and the rooms are beautiful, especially the gorgeous bathroom fittings. I’d highly recommend Blacket House as a base for a Gretna Green stay or wedding. Our time here was fantastic.

The power shower was so strong it nearly felt like standing under a garage jet wash. The place was very clean and quiet, with a great breakfast and a friendly owner. It has a real labour of love feel and is a beautiful property. One thing to know, though: despite Google describing it as child friendly, the actual policy is no children.

We were there overnight for a wedding at Springkell, and Brenda greeted us so warmly. The bed was incredibly comfy, the rooms are beautiful, and the setting is gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious too. A hidden gem, thank you!

Breakfast was very good, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. Brenda is an excellent host. It felt like a real home from home, and I hope to return soon.

The hosts were lovely and friendly, and breakfast was absolutely scrumptious. Everything was amazingly clean, and the grounds are beautiful. Such a great find, and so quiet. Would definitely recommend.
