The hotel wouldn’t change my dates after my flight to London was cancelled in a snowstorm, even though I contacted them as soon as I knew I’d arrive later and asked to move the booking, not get a refund. They said the terms allowed no changes and offered no credit, voucher or other compromise. I know what a non-refundable rate means, but in a genuine disruption I expected some reasonable effort to help. I’d booked and paid in full through Booking.com just a couple of days before arrival. After this, I won’t book here again. If you do, expect no flexibility whatever happens.

The rooms and bathroom were small, as we expected, but laid out well enough that it wasn’t an issue. Everything felt new and refurbished, with nice decor and plenty of personality. The staff were really welcoming. Great hotel.

A continental breakfast was included, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was on the small side but quiet and comfortable, with a great bed, nice decor and all the amenities taken care of. The location makes it easy to get to Baker Street tube, with other stations nearby. Really nice stay.

Americana was just right for what I needed. The room was small, but it’s London, the price was okay, and I expected that. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice, no frills, just decent food to start the day, and the service was good. The tube is very close. I gave the rooms and service high stars based on sensible expectations. No complaints, I wasn’t expecting the Ritz. Thanks, Americana!

There’s tea, coffee and light snacks in the lounge at any time, and the housekeeping was excellent, with the rooms kept tidy and fresh linen provided. The rooms are small but have all the essentials. Baker Street and Marylebone metro stations are close by. Had a very pleasant stay!
