At Sloane

The breakfast was superb, both the food and the setting. The location’s great too: lots of fun shopping on Kings Road, and Harrods is an easy walk away. We were there for the Chelsea flower show. Nelson at the door is a legend, and Michael, who runs the really cool downstairs bar, is too.

The welcome made such a difference here. Everyone was wonderfully kind, and the concierge was a dream, quick and efficient. You can tell the whole team cares about hosting people, and Jean Louis Costes seems to understand how to make even demanding guests feel like friends. Bravo to them, the architect, and everyone behind this beautiful place. I hope I can come back soon. Our room felt carefully made for every part of the day, from the music to lighting that changes with a simple click. The whole London house has a calm, cozy, comforting feel, with a joyful, sexy edge. Every object seems chosen with care, and the place has a rare refinement. I loved staying here. At Sloane really felt like home.

The architecture is stunning, and there’s something lovely to look at around every corner. Our place was super clean and cozy, with a beautiful French feel. We were also within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping, a gym, and cabs. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Can’t wait to come back.

The lift could use a little more light, it’s quite dark in there. That’s my one small criticism of an otherwise lovely first stay at At Sloane. The food and accommodation were perfect, and the rooms were so beautifully decorated that it felt like staying in someone’s gorgeous home. Everyone was welcoming and helpful, and requests were handled straight away. Definitely won’t be my last visit.
