Beit Hall - Campus Accommodation

I’m halfway through my stay and enjoying it. The dorm-style rooms might bring back college memories, but mine is comfortable and has what I need. Internet works well, and it’s good value. I’d definitely stay again. The location is handy, almost exactly between South Kensington and Gloucester Road tube stations. The pub has reasonably priced beer and food, but takes cash only. A couple of things to know: the shower head is fixed, and tap water isn’t potable. There are water coolers in the lobby for filling bottles, though I’m not sure why there isn’t one on each floor.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the buses stop right outside. Royal Albert Hall is next door, and there’s a restaurant nearby. Breakfast included is good value, and there’s also a gym and pool. These are student rooms, so they’re basic, but the price is fair. Our bathroom and shower were good. It’s excellent value for the location and works perfectly as somewhere to sleep after a day out in town. I’d stay again.

The location is amazing: the V&A, Science Museums, and Kensington Gardens are all within a 10-minute walk. I left a few bags there afterward so I could explore before my afternoon train, and I’d stay again. The room was comfortable enough, though the furniture is old and everything looks dated. I liked having an office chair, kettle, decaf coffee, and a fan. It was so hot that weekend, the fan was essential. The bathroom was surprisingly clean, and the shower pressure was incredible, I’ve never been blasted so hard. My room was by the stairwell, facing the street, and the hallway looked about two-thirds booked, but it was fairly quiet and I wasn’t woken up. Street noise stopped around 10pm, though the courtyard was quite noisy. Wi-fi was very fast. I also spent some time in the cool downstairs common room and got snacks and drinks from the vending machine.

The location works well for students at South Kensington campus, and White City isn’t too far away. The en suite bathroom was tiny but manageable. The kettle cord in the room was so short I had to put the kettle on the floor to boil.
