The staff were professional and genuine, and I was surprised by how generous the toiletries and in-room amenities were. My room was spotless, well arranged and just the right size for one person. I’d happily stay as a couple too, it feels like a lovely little place to come back to after a day out. For the price, the location is exceptional. It’s right in the middle of everything but wonderfully quiet, and I wouldn’t have guessed how central it was. A pleasant walk gets you to key areas and destinations. I came for one night, which was perfect, though I would have gladly stayed longer. The comfort, value and location would bring me back, and I’d recommend it to other people visiting London.

We spent two nights here and everything worked well for us. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was fine. They even included a complimentary soft drink. We’d come back on another London trip. There’s no lift, but the staff carried our bag up to the room, so it wasn’t a big problem.

A lovely little place for a short weekend in London, with a good base for getting around to the things you’d want to do. The rooms are kept to a decent standard. I did have road noise, though, and the shower in my room wasn’t working very well. I can’t really picture staying here longer than three or four days.

I stayed six nights in a Club Room, in the basement. It was much bigger than other rooms I’ve had in central London and had what I needed for a business trip: a mini fridge, microwave, kettle and fairly large cupboard. The stairs down could be difficult if you’re older or have large bags, but the staff were happy to help carry them. Breakfast was included every day, fresh and more than enough, though the options were the same each morning. The staff there were polite and always smiling. We had a small issue with the shower draining, and it was fixed straight away. After staying at several London hotels, I’d say the showers here have great pressure and plenty of hot water. There are lots of eateries, restaurants, pubs and convenience shops nearby. The hotel is brilliantly placed in central London, five minutes from Baker Street Underground. It was a very good stay, and I’d definitely return.

Breakfast in the main building was very nice, and so were the staff we met. Our room was comfortable and well appointed, but it was a basement room in the hotel annexe across the road. Noise from the room above went on all night, so we barely slept. The windows are sealed and can’t be opened.
