Carlton Hotel

The room was clean and quiet, and staff were nice. They cleaned every day. The location felt safe and was amazing, with Victoria station and the victoria, district and circle lines very close. We could walk all around westminster because it was so nearby. There are markets, pubs, and bakeries around too. The room was a little cold, there's no elevator, and the shower was small with no shower cabin, but we had an amazing stay. Thanks for everything!

I still think about how awful this hotel was, even three years later. They stole 2000$ euros from our room, then screamed at us and blamed us for it. We were three girls travelling alone in Europe, with all our money gone. The doorman was sleeping on the floor under the desk and made us jump into the street's trash bins to check whether the money was there, even though they'd actually stolen it. There were stains all over the bed. Please don't go here. It was the worst hotel experience of my life.

The hotel looked nothing like it did on the website. The reception service was bad, and you could tell right away what the place would be like. We put up with it because we were there for just one day, but I'd never return. We told staff we weren't okay with the room we'd been given, even though we'd booked a month earlier, and they were unresponsive. I wouldn't give this hotel even one star. Peace out.

The location was good, but the welcome wasn't. Check-in felt like an inconvenience to the staff. One of the pillows had visible dried blood and mucus on it, actual contamination rather than a stain. The hygiene standards were completely unacceptable.
