Good food options are available through Uber Eats, and the nearby markets and bus stop are convenient. The rooms were clean and fine for a night or a couple of nights on a budget, though the bathrooms are small. The AC didn’t always work, but they brought fans.

The website says parking is free, but it isn’t. We paid £15 per night, £30 for two nights, and still got a PCN demanding £120 if paid quickly or £200 later. I appealed with the receipt, and can’t believe I have to waste time over these fraudulent or inept tickets. The hotel feels like student accommodation, with a tiny en suite bathroom, a very small room, no storage, and holes under the bed and in the wall. It wasn’t comfortable. Be warned, I wouldn’t stay here.

I met my friend Alex here. He was a great chap, and I got a surprise on the first day, but we got to know each other. I had to leave him where he was, since that was where he lived. If you see him, tell him I said hi!

The receptionists were lovely and helpful, and the room was clean. It was fine for the price, and £5 parking seemed reasonable. The courtyard was a nice spot with chairs and tables, though the way in looks like an emergency exit. Reception said it was okay to use, but a clear sign would help. The room had a very strong smell when we arrived. It wasn’t unpleasant exactly, just overpowering. The toilet and shower were small but worked. We had to ask for the TV remote, which was kept behind reception and was a little broken but usable. We also had to ask for cups and cutlery. It would be nice if the room had disposable cups and a bin. It’s suitable for an overnight or short stay, but I wouldn’t choose it for longer.
