We had to find somewhere else to stay after being told our payment hadn't gone through and that the booking would be cancelled. Then we discovered the booking was still active and the money had been taken. Even though we never reached the hotel, they said a refund wasn't possible because the date was so close. That was bad enough on top of having to make other plans.
