Crowne Plaza Heathrow

The restaurant and bar team were friendly and efficient, and dinner was excellent for this price range, both the food and the service. Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces. There is a fee, but it was lower than at some nearby hotels. My wife and I stayed the night before flying back to the US. Some people say the hotel feels dated, and perhaps it does, but I thought it was excellent. The room was large, clean and quiet, the furniture was comfortable, and the soundproofing was better than at some newer places. I’d recommend staying here and plan to return the next time I’m at Heathrow.

The room was clean and very nice, and both meals were good, especially breakfast. The corridors had a bit of a funky smell, though, and the carpet made rolling our suitcases harder. A strange choice for an airport hotel, but I suppose this is the land of carpeting. It was handy being close to the airport, but the shuttle there and back cost a lot. The airline put us here because our flight was delayed.

We came back for a second stay, and this time the staff made sure everything was just right. On our first visit there had been a few issues. The rooms are a very good standard and exceptionally clean, and breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. The spa was great too. The kids had an amazing time in the pool, and we enjoyed the steam room, hot tub and sauna. The pool water was at a perfect temperature. A big thank you to Alvaro for looking after everything so well. We’re really glad we could have our weekend again, it was an amazing stay.

Our lower-floor room was a bit noisy at night because trucks were operating behind the hotel. The pillows were lumpy, and it would be useful to have a choice in the room, since you don’t want to call reception for alternatives once you’re in bed. The hotel was very clean and tidy, easy to find and close to Heathrow, with long-stay parking available if needed. The staff were incredibly pleasant and attentive, and did all they could to help. All in all, a good stay.
