We were there for five days, and my three children loved the food, especially the unlimited breakfast and the dinner and dessert choices. I was heavily pregnant, but we enjoyed every moment. We tried both the standard and super family rooms. The standard was great, though the super room was worth upgrading for the unlimited WiFi, conveniently placed sockets, and other little touches. The staff were the best part for me. Both the day and night teams were happy to help and went out of their way, treating the hotel as if it were their own. The kids loved them too. Thank you, we'll be back.

The reception staff were polite, professional, and helpful, but that couldn't make up for the rest of my stay. The hotel is conveniently about a ten-minute walk from Bethnal Green Underground on the Central line, though the area felt rough after dark and I wouldn't have felt safe walking alone. My room smelled so strongly of something on the furniture or carpet that it stung my eyes. I had to keep the window open while I was awake to clear it, but then street and nearby Underground noise made sleeping with it open impossible. There was no air conditioning either. The bed-side USB ports only charge when the lights are on, which makes overnight charging awkward. The bathroom was dirty, the shower curtain stained, both soap dispensers empty, the sink partly blocked, and there was no hairdryer. Water pressure was very poor; after waiting half an hour for it to improve, I rinsed with cold water and went to bed. Breakfast was disappointing too: the croissants were cold, squashed, and stale, as if they'd been left out for days. I've stayed at several other Travelodge across the country, and this was easily the worst. I'd book somewhere else if possible.

My young son and I had a lovely two-night stay, 27-29 March in Room 108. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. We ate dinner there in the evenings, which was quick and very relaxed. Breakfast one morning was good value, especially when feeding a child. I'd definitely stay again.

It's a very convenient spot and the rooms are a decent size. The cleaners are lovely and attentive. Michelle, Deanne and Karen were especially kind and accommodating, sorting out any issues quickly and effectively. Michelle made my son feel at home, and I'm so grateful for her hospitality.

I was looked after so well by Michelle and Deanne, who greeted me warmly when I arrived. Travelodge Bethnal Green gave me the best sleep I've had in ages. I slept so soundly that I woke at 0230 thinking it was time to get up. Thank you!
