Euro Hotel London Wembley

We lasted half an hour before leaving in shock. It was dirty, damp and cold, with cigarette smoke smell throughout the room and corridors. There was no toilet paper, the heating didn’t work, and a window pane was coming out of its frame, letting in a breeze. The front desk staff were rude, grumpy and unhelpful, with lots of sighing. I have no issue with budget accommodation, but after leaving we paid £25 more per person for a last-minute room at a stunning hotel near Wembley Stadium. That was the best decision I’ve ever made, sadly. I’ll be disputing the booking with the site we used.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s close to the stadium. Those are the only positives I can offer. We arrived to find a double bed crammed into a box room and a blocked toilet with a broken flush in an unpleasant ensuite. The manager moved us to a slightly better room, but our travel companions had a worse time and chose to pay again to move to a Holiday Inn. The photos are definitely misleading, and I honestly wouldn’t recommend booking this hotel.

The location was the only good thing. We only stayed one night and won’t return. The room was so dusty you could write your name in it, and the shower still had empty sachets left by previous guests. It was hot even with the window open, and it took 15 minutes for the shower water to get hot. The room was tiny, with a double and single bed packed into a space where you could barely move. There was no wardrobe, just something on the wall with one hanger. Tea and coffee were left on the side without a tray, and the cups were chipped. The place needs a proper clean and a serious update. Breakfast was disgusting. It was cheap, but cleanliness and a decent breakfast should still be expected, especially since we paid extra for breakfast. We only stayed because other hotels were full. I’ll let you draw your own conclusion about the staff.

I couldn't make it through more than one night. The people outside were strange, seemed drunk or on drugs, and talked loudly until early morning. Inside, the room was filthy and small, and the shower was dirty. I left even though I'd paid for two days, so I lost that money. Worst hotel I've ever seen.
