Fantastic, Modern 1BR in Covent Garden

I made it to check in before 8 pm, and the keys were simply in an ordinary lockbox. So I still don’t understand the £150 charge for arriving half an hour later. They said someone had to put the keys there beforehand, though surely they could have been placed there at 19:59 for my 20:15-20:30 arrival. They also blamed the fee on their contactless system switching off after 20:00 and supposedly costing more to keep running. That’s not how technology works. I called to ask about it after being told check-in was before 8, which seemed reasonable for an apartment, but the explanation didn’t add up. Glad I can avoid dealing with this agency.

The location sounded great, but if you expect to stay on Shelton St, you may end up elsewhere. The complex there is being renovated, though they’re advertising it, and I was put in a different place on Wellington St. It had no air conditioning and was unbearably hot, like an oven. For the high price, the Wi-Fi was poor too. The whole thing felt like a scam. Avoid them and find an honest, genuine company.

The bathrooms were so cramped they were hard to use. There was also an error message in the elevator, so be cautious about staying on a high floor.

They took my money and locked me out of my room. I called the support number for help several times, but kept getting hung up on mid-call. This is the worst rental accommodation service I’ve ever encountered. Save your money and book a hotel nearby. Avoid this company at all costs!
