Finsbury Rose

The room was spacious and nicely decorated, with comfortable beds, a fridge and a desk. It’s literally a minute from the underground, though the street is a bit tatty. We couldn’t find the hotel at first and it could use a sign. There’s no on-site staff: you get a key from a lockbox, with the details sent before your stay. When we needed something, staff were nice to talk to and replied within minutes. Really nice place, would recommend!

A decent, affordable London apartment, clean and spacious enough for three. It was easy to reach by public transport and find, if you look where you’re going. We didn’t get the intercom code in advance, but after a few minutes someone from the office across the road let us in and sent the info we needed. He was friendly and said to call or email if we needed anything. The hot water ran out, but otherwise things were okay. There’s no lift, so be ready for the stairs if you’re on the top floor.

We had to contact Agoda because the hotel couldn’t be reached, and Agoda couldn’t get hold of them either. In the end Agoda cancelled the booking and refunded us, so we had to find another hotel at the last minute. When we arrived, there was no clear sign for the entrance and nobody there to let us in. We’d received no welcome email with entry instructions, and couldn’t reach the business by phone, email, text or WhatsApp.

They cancelled my booking the night before I was due to arrive, leaving me scrambling to find another hotel. Don’t trust this 'hotel'. I’d suggest avoiding it.
