Hilton London Hyde Park

Whenever I came back from a long, busy workday in London, the front desk made the hotel feel like a comfortable respite. I was especially impressed by how quickly they handled the many arrivals and checkouts while still treating everyone warmly and professionally. Their knowledge of London and the surrounding area was excellent, and they answered my questions and concerns right away. Mohammad and Talat were particularly lovely and amazing, and the whole reception team deserves my thanks. Earlier in my stay, Talat also helped resolve a problem with the card on file so I could check in and get some much-needed rest. The reception staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and their extra help made my stay comfortable and exactly what I needed. I logged in just to add this: I can confidently recommend Hilton Hyde Park to anyone visiting London and the area.

The way this was handled left me very disappointed. Cash went missing from the room safe during my stay. I reported it straight away and cooperated fully. The hotel investigated and said there was no evidence, but there was no follow-up or sense of accountability. As a long-time Hilton customer, I asked for the matter to be escalated and never got a reply. For something as serious as missing money, I expected transparency, proper customer care, and at least a response. Instead, I got a formal denial, then silence. Trust matters in hospitality, and this stay didn’t reflect that.

Talat at reception was a highlight of our week at Hilton Hyde Park. He greeted us with a big smile every time, and was kind, funny, and incredibly helpful with everything we needed. He kept going above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. We were there on a business trip hosting guests from across Europe, and the stay was great, with excellent service.

The views over Hyde Park are magnificent, and the rooms are absolutely lovely. The location is excellent, and the restaurant was fine, with good service, though it felt like a typical big hotel restaurant. Reception was a mixed bag: two staff members were really good and welcoming, while two others were just so-so. One who seemed to be the manager couldn't manage a smile and was less than friendly, which was disappointing. Some of the staff could use a bit of work.
