Holiday Inn Express London - Southwark by IHG

During my long stay, William made the hotel feel welcoming and safe, which really mattered when I was away for so long. He arranged a room change easily, and no request ever seemed like a bother. He was always respectful and greeted me with a reassuring smile. I appreciated how naturally he combined kindness with a professional, efficient manner. From my first conversation with him, he was attentive and clearly cared about making my stay comfortable. William is a real credit to the hotel, and his generosity and patience made the whole experience positive. Staff like him are why guests come back. Thank you, William.

Getting around was easy: there's a nearby bus that goes past Borough Market, Tower Bridge and Waterloo Station, all of which we also walked to. Several train stations are close too, so we'll choose this hotel again for future London trips. It can be pricey at times, but my booking came to $106+taxes per night, which was a great deal. We arrived at 10am on a Saturday after a long overnight flight. The hotel let us leave our suitcases in a closet until the room was ready, and we could have the free breakfast before checking in. Breakfast runs until 10:30am on weekends and had a large, delicious buffet. The room and bathroom were a good size, and the service and location were great too.

Danny at reception was a lifesaver and went out of his way to help me during my stay. The food also stood out: there's a good range of quality vegetarian and vegan choices. The location made it easy to explore the city, with Tower Bridge and Big Ben nearby. I had a fantastic stay.

The breakfast selection was pretty good, and although it gets crowded at peak time, the team manages it well. The front office staff were welcoming and very helpful, especially Tanjim, who went the extra mile with our requests. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from Southwark underground station, with places of interest a short ride away. We enjoyed our stay.
