The apartment was clean and roomy, in a great location, and the service team responded quickly. A few things to know: there’s no air conditioning, though they’ll provide fans if you ask. Open the windows when cooking or the fire and smoke alarm can go off throughout the whole building. That wasn’t me.

Allstay were so helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. The newly renovated Hop Art House is just across from Borough Market and an easy walk from London Bridge Train and Underground Station. The apartments are spacious, modern and high-spec, with great views over London’s skyline and an outdoor terrace. They work for business trips or holidays: you can walk to Southbank attractions with family or head to an office in the City of London.

A great apartment, with more of an Airbnb feel. There’s no safe in the room, and cleaning is only once a week, but otherwise it’s a good place.
