Hotel Apartment in Ilford

We were in Stratford in Apr 25, and for what our group got, the place was insanely overpriced. The electric stove barely heated, the bathroom drain kept clogging, and the sink stayed full all week. The beds were awful and thin, like they'd been bought as cheaply as possible. The boiler instructions didn't match the boiler, so we had no hot water for the entire week. Staff on the phone were unhelpful and didn't follow up or act on anything. They also tried to quote us higher prices than Airbnb. The manager hasn't replied to my request for a 25% refund, which I think is generous, despite weeks passing. I'm taking it to a citizens advice complaint. I don't make this accusation lightly, but it seems likely to be a money-laundering scheme. Absolutely awful. Do not book here. Book anywhere else.

When we arrived late on day one, we were sent to a different building from the one we'd booked. We were willing to overlook it because the room specifications were similar. But the TV didn't work for at least four days. When I reported it on the sixth night and explained this was the second breakdown, the staff member, who said his name was Mohit Mohit, showed no empathy and didn't even apologize. He instead patronized paying guests, used sarcasm, and said that being unhelpful was part of his job, along with reporting problems without resolving them. Avoidable, especially if you're travelling with small kids. The service and attitude were pathetic, particularly from reception. I'd avoid our friend Mohit Mohit like the plague unless you're looking for no eye contact and unhelpful explanations about his job responsibilities.

The internet speed was brilliant for a hotel. I wasn't expecting much when I booked, but the apartment was comfortable and felt like home, and the service was really good too. I'd book again when I'm back.

Shameem is a real credit to the company, and the service was absolutely brilliant. The apartment was surprisingly spacious and very clean. It was perfect for me, my wife and our son, who had loads of room to run around. I'd definitely recommend it and rebook when we come back to London for a break. Thanks for a lovely stay.
