Inverness Terrace Serviced Apartments by Concept Apartments

The location was a big plus for our short London trip. It's a four-minute walk from a street full of places to eat, and there are grocery shops along there too. Some of the restaurants I tried were really good. Central London is quite far, though there is a tube station nearby. Check-in was easy and self-service. My studio apartment had a stove, mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and some utensils. The bathroom was very clean, with towels and toiletries. The walls are thin, so you can hear the neighbors. Fortunately, it wasn't very noisy at night. There was a persistent smell in the building, though. I opened the window to air out the room, but it seemed to linger, and I don't know where it came from. For a short stay, it was a good place.

We were in room 8. The location was good, but the room was tiny and the fridge door wouldn't shut properly. The bed was unbelievably noisy, so don't expect to get amorous with your wife without the whole hotel hearing.

We were put in an attic apartment up a long flight of stairs, and the bathroom was so tiny I could hardly turn around or stretch an arm. The bed and pillows were lumpy. I was disappointed, though it was ok-ish overall.

The location was lovely, with the Underground and local shops nearby, and Hyde Park less than a five-minute walk away. At first, the flat seemed fine. Then we noticed a nauseating smell in the corridor, like piss or old people, and sewer smells coming from the room's pipes. Opening the toilet revealed poo left behind. I don't know whether it was from the previous tenant or whoever cleaned the place. There was mould in the shower, and we found a small cockroach. The television didn't work either, and some light kept flickering even with the switch off, probably a faulty contact. We were in room n°3, for the next guests' information. I was very disappointed. I thought this could be an alternative to a hotel, but I was wrong. Next time I'll stay in a hotel.
