Leonardo Royal Hotel London St Paul’s

Abigail checked us in and deserves a special mention for making our stay start so wonderfully. My sister and I had an amazing visit from arrival to departure. The hotel was immaculate, the location superb, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our executive room was lovely, and the executive lounge was fabulous, with a great selection of snacks and drinks. We've already booked our next stay!

The rooftop birthday drinks ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip. The staff there were welcoming, funny, and easy to talk to, and the whole place had an elegant feel. I was also happy to unwind in the sauna, steam room, and pool each day. My arrival was a day later than planned because my flight was cancelled. I called to let the hotel know, and they had a room ready for my party when we got there. The room was comfortable, with one of the softest beds I’ve slept in and a lovely bathroom. The building itself is beautiful, and it’s worth sitting in the shared spaces for a while. Breakfast had a huge range of choices. There isn’t a lot to eat right next to the hotel, but the Tube and buses make it easy to reach more places. Staff were professional, the room was cleaned daily, and I honestly could’ve spent the whole trip there. It’s a central spot with a bit of a neighborhood feel, and I’m already hoping to come back.

The executive lounge was a welcome place to put our feet up after long days exploring London, and it was always well stocked. Breakfast was excellent too, with more choices than we could get through. We stayed for three nights, May 12, 13 and 14. Check-in was quick and straightforward, and we gladly took the upgrade offered when we arrived. The concierge was efficient whenever we needed help. Highly recommended.

For a birthday trip with my husband and son, this was a pretty standard stay for me. We’ve often chosen 4 or 5 star hotels with especially good service, so I wasn’t very impressed here. We booked through booking.com and mentioned the birthday in a note. They let us check in early for an extra charge, which was fine since we wanted to leave our things before heading out. The room itself was nice, but nothing more. The TV welcome message had the wrong date, January 1 instead of February 17, and there wasn’t a note. We were in a second floor room in the rear building. I’d considered using the spa, but there were no bathrobes. Housekeeping did a good job keeping the room clean and tidy.
