Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge

We liked the spa facilities, the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel, the room quality, and how approachable the staff were so much that we extended our original three-night booking. We didn't eat at the restaurant, so can't comment on it. The stay far exceeded our expectations, especially compared with hotels we'd had for a similar price. We'd highly recommend it.

Anika looked after us for my partner's 30th birthday, her first stay there. She upgraded our room, surprised us with wine and gave us truly exceptional service. She went out of her way to make the stay memorable, and my partner had the best birthday ever. We told her manager the next day because she genuinely deserves a raise! I'd loved the Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge when I first stayed a few years ago, but this visit was even better. All the staff were amazing and made us feel like royalty. We'll definitely become regulars.

The lifts took a long time, which was the one thing I'd point out. I enjoyed my birthday stay overall. When I opened the room, there was a card and a box of chocolate from the hotel, a nice touch. The hotel is well equipped, and the room had everything you could wish for. It was clean and inviting.

The anniversary card, half bottle of red wine and chocolates in the room were a lovely, totally unexpected touch. We'd booked a King Deluxe Room on the top floor with Executive Lounge Access. We usually choose Marriott Hotels for weekends in London, so we weren't sure how this would compare, but for the price and location, this place was brilliant and hard to fault. The bed and bedding were excellent, and both the air-con and heating worked in our room. Everywhere was clean and tidy. On Saturday, though, more than half the Executive Lounge tables had used cups and bottles on them when we came back, and they hadn't been cleared. Maybe staff were short or just behind on cleanup. When the room was serviced, our dirty glasses from the night before were left behind too. Those are small points, not a moan, but we did expect them to be taken. We didn't use the spa or pool, but went down to view them, and they looked really nice. The gym wasn't open, but I hadn't booked the hotel for that, so it didn't matter. The shower isn't very large, and a bigger person might struggle for room. Breakfast was self-service and very good. There were proper-sized cups for tea and coffee, and my wife liked the omelette station where it was cooked while you waited. We'll be back for our next weekend in London. Thank you.
