Líbere London Edgware Road

On a budget, this was a five star stay for me. The room was comfortable, though small, and came with a complimentary box of water and snacks plus a Nespresso machine. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the location was great, within walking distance of the tube. It delivered on all fronts.

The room was on the small side, but clean and had everything we needed, and it all worked. The staff member we met was lovely and friendly. It’s a great location, very near the tube, and there’s a nice coffee shop downstairs too. We’d happily stay here again for a short London visit.

The hot water issue was apparently affecting two other rooms too, and we got no apology during our stay or after checking out. Getting through on WhatsApp meant dealing with AI prompts until we asked to speak to a person. There were also some odd people smoking in the doorway into the “hotel.” For three days, the shower water was boiling hot, and staff kept refusing to fix it. There was constant back and forth without any result. On the third day, they finally came to our room and admitted they knew about the issue but said nothing could be done. They told us a technician had checked the temperature and pressure and found both seemed fine. When we came back to the room, the bathroom was completely full of steam. Either they’d let the technician in unsupervised or done it themselves and left the water running. See photos. I wouldn’t book with them.

We liked it enough that we’ve already booked our next London trip here. It’s only 60 seconds from Edgware Road tube station, and the place is clean and spacious. On our first visit we needed help setting up the door access app on our phone, but once that was sorted, everything was easy. The TV had Netflix available without having to connect our own account, which was a nice touch. There’s also a delicious coffee shop attached. Highly recommend it.
