Lyall Apartment Hotel

I forgot an item when I checked out and got no answer when I called. I went back the next day to collect it, but was told they throw away anything left in a room straight away. They had my contact details from the booking and didn’t call before putting my belongings in the bin. I won’t stay there again.

The beds were comfortable, the apartment was clean and looked after, and I loved the shower. The strong flow felt heavenly while I was trying to soothe a banging hangover. The air conditioning barely helped in the London warmth, though, and I woke up drenched both nights. That needs sorting. There also wasn’t enough coffee for everyone to have a cup. Still, if you want somewhere outside the city centre and £200 cheaper, this place is perfect.

The neighbourhood was lovely, and Southeastern trains made it easy to get into the city centre. I stayed with my family and had a really pleasant time.

We found the staff really kind, and the apartment had what we needed for two adults and two children. It’s decorated in a modern style. Tesco is a three-minute walk away and the train station is four minutes away. For London, you can get a return ticket with Southeastern for 23 euros for two adults and two children if you’re only going around Charing X, or a day pass if you plan to travel further.
