We couldn’t fault it. The hotel was extremely clean, with fresh towels every day, and there were lots of restaurants nearby. It was perfect for us, very close to King's Cross St Pancras and convenient for catching trains and the underground.

For the price, this is very reasonable, and the location is exceptional. The beds are comfortable and everything was clean. The building has a bit of an 80s feel, and communal toilets and showers won’t suit everyone. I’d recommend it if you need a place to rest near St Pancras, though perhaps not for a longer stay in London.

For a short city break, I just want a clean, comfortable bed and a shower, and Macdonald does the job. I've stayed several times over the years and expect I'll keep coming back. It's right by King's Cross, which is the big plus. The rooms are on the small side and the stairs are steep, but for what I need, it's a clear winner.

We were very happy with our stay and would happily return. The hotel is quiet, the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. It's also an easy walk to St Pancras International, with Kings Cross and St Pancras stations close by, all at an affordable price. Our room was ready early, and the proprietor let us in before check-in, which was a lovely surprise.

The staff were really helpful, and everything we needed, from places to eat to shops, was within walking distance. King's Cross station is only a few minutes away on foot, and our room was clean and well kept. Just be prepared to carry your bags up or down some steep stairs.
