The reception team are patient, friendly, and always ready to help residents with their problems. McMillan's also feels homely, and they put on different events every month.

The smell of weed through the building was strong and seemed to be there most of the time. In a new country on my own, with the place dirty and that smell around, I cried both of my first two nights. It wasn't the welcome I hoped for. I arrived after a long trip with all my luggage, expecting to unpack and settle in, but spent my first days cleaning instead. The room smelled strange, there was dust and hair everywhere, the curtains were dirty, paint was chipped, and there was mould near the kitchen. I even cleaned parts of the walls because I didn't feel comfortable living there otherwise. The bed was so uncomfortable I could feel its springs, and the sink was low enough that I had to bend my back to wash dishes. Student housing doesn't have to be luxurious, but it should be clean, comfortable, and looked after. That wasn't my experience.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed as a student. The facilities were great, too. What really made the stay for me was the staff. They were respectful and helpful, always cheerful and greeting me with a smile. Whenever I needed something, they were ready to assist, and that made the place feel welcoming. I had a great experience here and would highly recommend it.

As a new student this year, I got help from the staff whenever they could offer it. They’re kind, approachable, and supportive, and I’m especially grateful to Kelly, Ricardo, and Atur for being so professional and kind. They’re a big part of why I’ve been so happy here. Everything has been perfect, and I’d highly recommend this student residence.
