I paid, then was told I had to send a photo of my passport over WhatsApp by 3:00 PM or I wouldn’t get the check-in instructions. That requirement hadn’t been made clear when I booked, and sending sensitive ID to an unknown number felt unsafe and raised serious privacy concerns. It also seemed unprofessional. Because I didn’t meet this undisclosed condition, they refused both access to the property and a refund, so they took my money without providing the stay. I was told this had happened to other guests before, which makes it sound like a recurring issue. I’ll be taking it up with Booking.com and reporting the practice. This was one of the worst booking experiences I’ve had, and I strongly advise others to avoid the property.
