I had to change my plans after a family emergency meant I needed to go home to the South Coast. I’d rearranged my Monday meetings, so I asked if my Thursday booking could be moved to Sunday. First I called, then went to the hotel in person, but was told company policy meant they couldn’t help. Sunday looked quiet, and I even offered to pay the higher Thursday rate for that night. My team and I have stayed here regularly for years, which is why this was so disappointing. It wasn’t really about the money or whether a room was available. I’d hoped for some understanding in a difficult situation. We’d always enjoyed staying here, but being turned away over one night has made us reconsider. I’ve told my company to take future business elsewhere, especially with so many good boutique hotels in Soho and nearby. A small gesture would have meant a lot. This has had the opposite effect.

The room was so hot, dark, and stuffy that it felt more like a cell than somewhere to relax. It was under the roof, with sloping ceilings, and a wall in front of the window blocked the light and proper ventilation. The AC didn’t cool the room, and left a damp feeling and bad smell. The shower also kept stopping without warning. We’d paid €600 for two nights and booked a suite, but got a cramped top-floor room that was much smaller than advertised. The hotel’s standard felt more like a basic hostel than the high-quality place it presents itself as. When we complained at reception, the staff seemed dismissive and sometimes arrogant, with excuses instead of help. A room change was only suggested on the last day, which wasn’t practical. We were offered a 10% discount if we agreed not to leave a review. We declined because we wanted to give an honest account. The stay was far below our expectations, and we wouldn’t recommend it at that price.

Great location and nice staff, but that “double room” is a joke. The bed touched three walls, so I spent the night wedged in at an angle. Felt like storing my body in central London for six hours, not staying in a hotel. One star. Skip it unless you’re 4’11 and don’t mind tight spaces.

Even with people drinking out in the street, my room stayed completely quiet. I actually liked having no window in busy Soho. The rooms are small, but well equipped and just right for an overnight stay.

The reception team were really helpful, especially with storing my bags before check-in and after checkout, and answering questions before I arrived. I also got a room with two windows, which was lovely for watching Soho’s nightlife from a little distance. I stayed in Mimi’s Mini. It was compact, but cozy rather than claustrophobic, with enough space for two people and hand luggage. The room was spotless and elegantly designed. It had a comfortable double bed, a working TV, dimmable lights, good shampoo, shower gel and lotion, a hairdryer, and towels in several sizes.
