OYO Bakers Hotel London Victoria

The location in Victoria was a real plus, close to shops, restaurants and coffee shops. But the hygiene in both the room and breakfast area was poor. There were no towels, the bathroom wasn't clean, and although the room initially looked tidy, bed bugs kept me from sleeping properly. I'm allergic to them. At breakfast, water was left on the floor for quite a while too. I stayed one night and left disappointed.

I took video of rodents running and squeaking inside the walls all night, and couldn't sleep. The bedsheets were stained and the walls marked up, so the room already felt dirty and neglected. There weren't any towels either. When I asked, I was challenged twice as if I were making it up. During the listed reception hours, the front desk was dark, the door shut, and no staff were there to help. The cleanliness and service were unacceptable from the moment I arrived. The booking agency and I both tried repeatedly to contact the hotel to cancel and sort things out. Nobody replied to emails or could be reached. Terrible customer service and no care when problems come up. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We chose it for being near Victoria Coach Station, which was a mistake. The room was so tiny we couldn't even open our suitcases, and the toilet was dirty with stains on the carpet. We had prepaid for two nights but left after one and lost the money for the second.

We've spent over a month trying to get our stay reimbursed. Emails, calls with the company and promises of a refund or callback have led nowhere. The room itself was filthy, had no working heating, and there were bare wires taped beneath a shelf. The hair dryer didn't work and the paper was peeling off the walls. The next morning we found bed bugs on the bed. We were there for one night as part of a Christmas present for my partner to see a show. Absolutely disgusting.
