There was no baby cot or lift, the carpet was stained, and the walls were so thin I could hear people talking in other rooms. The room smelled of smoke, and the window had been left open. Everything felt dirty and disgusting. Newham council put me there, and it was the worst night of my life. This place shouldn’t be running. Keeping anyone there is inhumane.

The reception staff were very nice and let me choose whether to turn the room down when I arrived. I should’ve taken that as a warning and run. It was the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed, really disgusting. The bed linen was spotless, but I didn’t touch anything else and left before dawn. I should have read the reviews. I will from now on.

The room I paid for was filthy, with a dirty toilet sink and a dusty bed. The night shift receptionist, Muhammad, was rude and disrespectful. Even though I’d paid, he wouldn’t let me back in because I came after work, and threatened to call the police. I’ll never come here again. Management is really poor, and the staff are disgusting.

I was so upset by the conditions that I couldn’t stay. My son has asthma, and he was coughing and short of breath all evening. I had to leave, and he’s better now. The staff looked like they were high on something, and nobody, staff or guests, had a mask over their mouth. Don’t go here.
