I found the staff pleasant and helpful during check-in and other interactions when things were calm, though service can be uneven. Some staff are attentive, while others seem less so. The hotel is convenient for a quick overnight or transit stop, with the basics such as a bed and tea or coffee facilities, and its central position is the main draw. Being right by King’s Cross and St Pancras makes it very easy to arrive by train and get around London on public transport. That location is hard to beat. The busy road nearby can bring enough noise to make sleep difficult, especially for light sleepers. The rooms are small and basic, and older furniture, minor defects and a generally worn, dated feel point to maintenance issues. Cleanliness could be better too. For the price, comfort and quality don’t always meet expectations, and several travellers find it expensive for what’s offered. Kings Cross Inn is practical for a short stay, but better cleaning, steadier service and upgrades to the rooms and facilities would make a real difference. At current prices, many guests expect a higher standard.

Julia and Betty at reception made our stay memorable with their warmth and professionalism. They checked in to see that we were comfortable and satisfied, and their genuine care and attention to detail made us feel valued. They went above and beyond to meet our needs. Their service is a credit to the hotel and made everything feel smooth.

The lack of a phone or any other way to contact the front desk from the room was especially concerning. In an emergency, there’d be no quick way to ask for help, which is unacceptable in a hotel. The rooms were tiny, dirty and smelled awful, and there was no lift, making things very inconvenient with luggage. The hotel is seriously overpriced for what it offers. The whole stay was frustrating and uncomfortable. I’d never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The location was my main requirement, and the hotel is right next to st Pancras station, so that part was perfect. My key need was met, and I’ve had much worse stays elsewhere, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. I haven’t tried the other hotels nearby. The small room had two single beds that weren’t very comfortable, old curtains, and hardly any space for a laptop. It was near or above the washing machines, and the noise woke me at 1am. I couldn’t sleep for two hours. Service was quite correct in the evening, then bumpier in the morning. The night receptionist seemed tired and was trying his best, but the interaction felt awkward. It wasn’t a pleasant stay, though it did the job.
