The best chance of finding a silent study spot is before 11am. During exam season, try to avoid arriving after 1pm. There's a huge range of books and reading material in different formats, and the building is an architectural gem on this stretch of Chancery Lane. Take a moment to look at the facade and its stone gargoyles. Security is strict at the front desk and throughout. There are also strict rules on eating and drinking in the study areas to protect users' health and safety and help preserve the collections, furniture and equipment.

A huge library with a great book selection and plenty of seats for long study sessions. You can bring your own food and drinks, or buy from the cafe inside, which has a wide choice of hot and cold drinks and snacks. Highly recommend it during exam season.

Elizabeth, the librarian, was incredibly helpful. The library is huge, and I felt a bit lost at first, but she kindly showed me exactly where I needed to go. I really appreciated the help.

The nearest tube station is a 15-minute walk away. You can bring cold food, but drinks need lids. There's a cafe, though sadly it doesn't open on weekends. The library has lots of quiet spots where you can borrow a PC and work as long as you need, and most areas are open 24/7. It's a great library in a historic place, with an amazingly beautiful building. Visit in the evening and it gives you Harry Potter vibes.

The staff are helpful, and they keep longer hours during exam periods. The grounds and exterior are open for anyone to see, though entry to the library itself is limited to students and alumni. Inside, it’s easy to get turned around, and searching for books can mean a tiring walk between sections. The architecture is great, and there’s a cool pub right across the way. It’s just off Fleet Street, and one of those places you might not hear about unless you studied at King's College.
