Premier Inn London Twickenham East

The bathroom was grim: the toilet was blocked, the sink wouldn’t drain or give warm water, and there was dust on the towel when I opened it. The room was dirty too. Outside, buses passed every few minutes on the noisy main road. It felt like a run-down hostel or council flat. I wouldn’t recommend sleeping here.

We stayed with the family last weekend. The hotel’s been newly refurbished and looks really nice. Thanks to Pooja and Claudia at Reception for looking after us.

I used this as my base for Windsor on Thursday, Hampton Court on Friday, then heading home via Heathrow on Saturday. It was good value, and the road nearby didn’t bother me much despite some complaints about it. The bus stop is right beside the car park in one direction, with the other stops only a 2-3 minute walk away.

The room and bathroom felt bigger than at the London Twickenham Stadium PI up the road, and the bed was very comfortable. There’s A/C, plus a large wardrobe and shelving unit with room for four days of clothes and other bits. Our first floor room was at the front, overlooking a busy road and bus stop, but it wasn’t especially noisy. The welcome from staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived around 21:00 and were lucky to find a parking space, as the car park is shared with the Beefeater next door. The automatic outer entrance is handy with bags, though the inner doors are manual. There’s no lift. Only real downside was that the toilets didn’t flush very well.
