Melanie, the duty manager, makes such a difference. She’s cheerful and welcoming, always greeting people with a genuine smile. Her professionalism and care for guests’ comfort are clear, and she takes pride in the job. Service like hers is why people return.

We’ve always chosen Premier Inn as a family and never had a stay this bad. Our room seemed to have been missed before check-in: there was mud on the floor, which we picked up with tissue. The next day we asked reception to clean it while we were out, but came back to find nothing done. With our 2 year old in nappies, the bins were full. Reception said there was no housekeeping staff and gave me two towels and bin bags, so I had to empty the bins myself and leave the dirty bags outside the room. The extractor fan wasn’t working, the room smelled awful, and people had left dirty things outside their rooms. The hotel feels run down and dirty.

I was here for one night with my kids yesterday. We normally stay at the Battersea Premier Inn, but it was fully booked, so this was our first time here. I used to live in the area, so I know it pretty well.

Our room wasn’t ready at check-in, and when it was sorted, it had been prepared incorrectly. We went out for the evening and came back to find all our belongings gone. The manager didn’t care and the staff were useless. Everything was stolen, according to my experience. Don’t go here or trust them with your things.
